Great Day Louisiana is a daily talk show hosted by Malik Mingo focusing on a variety of the latest trends in Southeast Louisiana and parts of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Malik stopped in The Basketry to see the store and get the scoop on why we are the BEST place to buy a gift!
During the interview, Malik was amazed to learn that this 28 year old gift company started when Kristi was only 22 years old inside her college dorm room. "At the time, the only gift to be delivered was flowers and since flowers don't last, it made sense to deliver gifts custom designed in the buyers budget!" -Kristi Brocato, founder
Customers can shop for a gift or themselves inside of our retail store located at 12337 Highway 90 in Luling or if they need a gift custom designed while they wait, we do that too. For the production side of the business, we take orders through the website, over the phone, by text and email. Our gift concierges work on same day gifts from one to many for special occasions such as birthday, anniversary, new baby and weddings. We also help corporate clients with their business gifting for clients, team members and special events.
Malik wondered, "What kinds of things make a great gift basket?"
Great question Malik! Our team is trained to listen the needs of the client and follow their budget needs, so when it's time to get creative, we can make a gift box or gift basket come to life with all of the items inside of our store. We focus on a variety of local items, women-owned gifts, and items on trend.
